Ink-tober Days: Divided, we "Fall"

Heehee. Get it?

Anyhow, story-time. I was invited to participate in the 2017 Inktober initiative. Which means that not only will I actually be posting a bit more (oops), but also that for the month, I will be just posting the inked image. Absolutely no digital editing this month. It also should be noted that I only intend to do a half-marathon, as the kids call it. The idea is that every other day you'll get something from me based of one of the two prompts from the two days. Just enough to push me, and still give me room to tend to my life duties. Hopefully I can keep up. But even more-so important, here's hoping my talents and abilities broaden (as we can all benefit from that!). But if not, I have a feeling at least I'll get some joy out of this. 

That being said, today's drawing is a nice start, hey? With a prompt like "Divided" and a brain like mine..... well, you get the "picture". In my expert opinion, childish bickering seems to be the root of all contention, and one of the biggest ways to cause a divide between anyone. Family, co-workers, the best of friends, even. And to passers-by, it can look a little silly, ridiculous, confusing and just sad. Like, I'm not even sure who broke the shovel here, guys. Did that start the fight, or was it the "breaking point"?

Oh yeah, one last thing. I don't think you've met Kimberly yet. See the little girl with the adorable tongue? Yeah, that's her. Promise she's not always this immature. In fact, I was quite surprised to see her behaving this way, myself. She does like to see things go her way though, but who doesn't? I guarantee as time goes on we'll see some of her better days.

Nothing gets the Christmas Spirit flowing quite like a Nativity re-enactment. Am I right? Yeah, I am.

What better way to remember that a Savior is born? 

Personally, I'm surprised that the angel outfits last as long as they do before getting stained. I guess all that dreaming of a white Christmas helps... 

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all the peoples (and all the Creechers too!) And we'll see you in 2016!

From Hero to There-o

  About four months before this blog started up, I had the idea to peer into the subconscious of our dear Creecher's in what I called the 'Dream Collection' , and I drew a draft of the work below, along with the piece featured in 'Second Post', and was fully ready to draw more. Unfortunately, the idea ended up put to the side when my location changed, and this drawing stayed untouched, until now.
  So, here it is, looking great, and you know.... I still don't know who's dreaming; Mark, or Alexa?

Well, Con-graduations are in order...

Well, whether it was just recently for you, or a long way back, school is ending for the Summer vacation. And for some, it's graduation season.
Here's to those who've reached the end of a lengthy sidewalk, and are about to make their own paths, good luck, and find joy in the journey before the destination.

Happy Valentine's Day! Whether you're spending it with that special someone or yourself is all the company you need, here's a little doodle I put together for this day specially designed to show love (something that ought to be done everyday, but that's beside the point):

Two for one

For the record, and the about two of you who don't know, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or more commonly, the Mormon's, and proud to be one. The works today and probably several times in the future, will display that. 

First off, this piece was started months ago, and only a couple weeks ago did I come back and add to it, making it what it is today. The caption around it comes from one of my favorite songs for LDS Youth, 'Priesthood Men' you can listen to it here. Just search it on the right hand side.

Of course, with the kind of guy that I am, having made one for young men, I had to make one for young women, to even the playing field. I tried not to just make an exact duplicate with eyelashes and dresses, and I think it worked out really well. The caption is from an LDS hymn you can listen to here.

You guys are so lucky...

Well, here it is, the first thing posted on here that wasn't in progress before my blog started, you guys oughta feel really privileged. I really like how this one turned out. This work also holds the title for the longest time any of my work has been edited in on the computer. I hope you think it was worth it, I sure do.
