Ink-tober Days: Divided, we "Fall"

Heehee. Get it?

Anyhow, story-time. I was invited to participate in the 2017 Inktober initiative. Which means that not only will I actually be posting a bit more (oops), but also that for the month, I will be just posting the inked image. Absolutely no digital editing this month. It also should be noted that I only intend to do a half-marathon, as the kids call it. The idea is that every other day you'll get something from me based of one of the two prompts from the two days. Just enough to push me, and still give me room to tend to my life duties. Hopefully I can keep up. But even more-so important, here's hoping my talents and abilities broaden (as we can all benefit from that!). But if not, I have a feeling at least I'll get some joy out of this.

That being said, today's drawing is a nice start, hey? With a prompt like "Divided" and a brain like mine..... well, you get the "picture". In my expert opinion, childish bickering seems to be the root of all contention, and one of the biggest ways to cause a divide between anyone. Family, co-workers, the best of friends, even. And to passers-by, it can look a little silly, ridiculous, confusing and just sad. Like, I'm not even sure who broke the shovel here, guys. Did that start the fight, or was it the "breaking point"?

Oh yeah, one last thing. I don't think you've met Kimberly yet. See the little girl with the adorable tongue? Yeah, that's her. Promise she's not always this immature. In fact, I was quite surprised to see her behaving this way, myself. She does like to see things go her way though, but who doesn't? I guarantee as time goes on we'll see some of her better days.

Alright guys; stay strong, and keep on keepin' on!

Nothing is Ever Just Black and White

One of the most stressful things about this blog, as time goes on, has to be coming up with something original to say about the works I post on here. Provide some kind of way to justify posting what I post, some great big tie-in to life or current events, or some lengthy and deep metaphor -so it seems like I know what I'm doing. You can see how it starts to get a little taxing. There's also a standard of excellence I've set for the work I post. These combine with being busy, and a bunch of other silly excuses and before you know it, I've only posted once in the last seven months! So today I say; "phooey to the rules I've set for no reason!" Because if rules are holding you back from achieving your goals, they aren't rules at all! I believe the word is 'limitation'. That said, here's a post that doesn't meet my personal expectations for what is blog worthy, but is still awesome. One of my biggest achievements actually, because I have never been much for shading.

Unfortunately, it appears I can't break all my limitations in one post. Just look at that beautifully deep and lengthy metaphor. Isn't life wonderful? So, until next time; Remember who you are, and keep on keepin' on!

Life's a Roller coaster

Wow, it's been a loooooong time since we've come into contact. For that I apologize.
Well, the summer's end is enveloping us, and before it gets too close, get out there and have some fun! Go swimming, take a road trip, ride a thrilling roller coaster, metaphorical or otherwise!
If your job entails you working all summer long, that's calamitous, and we hope you are having fun, at the very least!

Keep on keepin' on!

Prayer will change the night to day!

Well, how we missed this until now is a mystery to me. Honestly when I think fighting the dark, the first things I think of (now that I'm thinking about it) are Scripture study and prayer. Oh well, at least we remembered to mention it at some point. Pray always, it'll make a difference, guaranteed.

Happy (Belated) Mother's Day!

Oops. The one time sensitive week, and I botch it up. Don't worry, my Mom knows I love her, Even though I couldn't tell her over the internet, I got to see her face to face.
Anyway, with Mother's day being this week, I figured it best to combine it into my Fight Darkness challenge, to keep a steady flow, even if it was a day late. Oh well, can't win 'em all. Hey, at least I'm still on course in the challenge, though.
So, if you haven't already, remember to show your love for the women who've made you who you are today!
